Malta is a wonderful island. It is not the most wonderful place on Earth, but it is a cute paradise. It is a small place with a lot of people, and always something going on. A country consisting of three islands: Malta, Comino, and Gozo. Malta is the main island, Comino is uninhabited, but has the amazing Blue Lagoon, and Gozo is another interesting story. Malta offers a glorious variety of things in its small archipelago. There are ancient temples, high amazing cliffs, hidden coves, amazing scuba diving spots, and remarkable history. History of Malta
The island has a great central location in the Mediterranean Sea. That’s why it has been very attractive to other countries throughout history. The capital, Valletta, is a real gem of the country. There are also Mdina and Victoria in Gozo, which are fortress hilltop towns, and there are many watchtowers all around the islands. You will definitely admire the ancient temples which can be found in Malta and Gozo.
The Mediterranean Nature

Architecture
From looking around, the first thing that I noticed was that it is all white and yellow, which reminded me of Qatar, some kind of Arabic style. Their language belongs to the Arabic group of languages, it is a hard language and it’s funny. The architecture is simply amazing. According to me, that is one of the best things this island has. The baroque style is dominant and there is a lot of influence from the Victorian era. That is really one of the things I do enjoy a lot.
Malta has enough to offer, there are many places you can visit, including bars, restaurants, museums, historical sides, and natural treasures. But yet when it comes to nature, I do miss a lot of things. 🙁 I miss threes, can you believe that? I miss the mountains and I miss a place to get lost. Sure there is some, but it must be far from the central area where I live. (Update: It is very green during the winter and spring, it is actually very green. Buskett Gardens is a real treasure here).
Most of the things are situated in the central area including Valletta, Sliema, St. Julians, and the Three Cities. So if you live in this part many things will be close to you. Public transport works very well, but yet there are a lot of cars.

People
The people are nice and polite, and they are happy people. All in all, there are around 450 000 Maltese living on the two islands Gozo and Malta. They celebrate their life, they are very religious and they want to appreciate their OFF days. There is a lot of influence from Italy and Sicily. It can be noticed in the language and most of all in the traditional cuisine. They love to eat. There is also the English influence, which is obvious because Malta was part of the British Empire for many years.
Mix of cultures
Malta is a staunchly Roman Catholic country, but there is a great mixture of other cultures. The traditional Maltese food meets the Sicilian food and other European cuisines. The Maltese people are warm and welcoming, and very loud. There definitely is a touch of the 21st century, but in many ways, you can still go back in time. ant that is a great thing.
