Our beautiful planet Earth is a conscious and vibrant living entity. There were many ancient civilizations that knew that the Earth is sacred. They believed her to be the Great Mother. Many sacred monuments exist in areas once considered Earth’s Highest Energy Vortexes, or Earth Chakras. Structures like Stonehenge, the Pyramids, Mayan, Aztec and Inca monuments, along with many temples, churches, and pilgrimage sites are now considered powerful energetic spots.
Does the Earth have chakras?
Energy flows through each of the main Earth Chakras and makes up the spiritual body that is our world. Energy circuits known as Ley lines connect these Chakras, forming a planetary grid system recognized for millennia. By visiting these places, you could experience synergy and contact with Mother Earth. By opening your Chakras to it and becoming a powerful universal energy channel.
The locations of the Earth Chakras are sometimes up for a debate of either exact location, but there are those locations on which everybody agrees. So, in this post, I will share with you the places commonly connected to the Earth Chakra System and what they represent spiritually.
Where are the Earth Chakras located?
The Root Chakra – Mount Shasta, California, USA
The root chakra is located at the base of our spine and is the one that grounds us. A lotus with four petals and a red color symbolizes it. When this chakra is in balance, we feel safe, strong, and committed. When it is out of balance, we feel very unsafe and avoid conflicts. People believe the root chakra of the Earth is located at Mount Shasta in California. Mount Shasta is known for its natural beauty, and powerful spiritual presence. It has an active volcano which is one of the highest peaks in the Cascade Range.
People consider this chakra the base or root of the Earth’s energy, saying it regulates universal life and acts as a geyser of upward energy. It makes sense for the root chakra to lie at Mount Shasta, as Native American tribes believed that the volcano could be the center of the Universe or even the birthplace of the Creator.
The sacral chakra – Lake Titicaca, Peru & Bolivia
The sacral chakra is located in the pubic area, is orange in color, and governs our emotions, creativity, and ability to enjoy life. When it is balanced, we feel joy and we are able to produce our grates gifts. We feel connected to life, with a sense of being like on an adventure. When it is out of balance, we can feel closed out and disconnected. The Earth’s sacral chakra lies at lake Titicaca. This lake is home to Isla del Sol, a Bolivian island that was home to the Incas, who considered the lake sacred.
An archaeological team discovered an ancient temple completely submerged in the lake. People say the lake embodies both masculine and feminine energies, representing actuality as the sacral chakra. This chakra is thought to regulate all species on Earth and guide their evolutionary processes.
The solar plexus Chakra – Uluru & Kata Tjuta Rock, Australia
The solar plexus is another name for the hoise of the soul. It is located in our stomach area and has a yellow color. It is all about integrity, having a higher purpose, and is the seed of confidence in one’s life path. There is where we manifest from. Earth’s solar plexus chakra is a dual chakra, which is believed to lie at two massive rock formations, Uluru and Kata Tjuta. They are 28 km apart. Rising high in the Australian desert, the rocks play an important role in the local Aboriginal tribes’ ancient wisdom and creation stories. The solar plexus chakra connects to wisdom and professional emotions, acting as a makeshift umbilical cord to the planet and sustaining life all around Earth.
Heart chakra – Glastonbury & Shaftesbury, England
The heart chakra is green in color and is located at the heart center, where the healing takes place. That is our center of love, connectedness, and forgiveness. When it is out of balance, we feel closed to love and we hold anger. When in balance we see the good in everything around us. The Earth’s heart chakra is also a dual chakra, located at Shaftesbury and Glastonbury, two towns in England, being 48 km apart. According to some people, the heart chakra may expand including even Stonehenge. Many stories in history speak about this location, one like as King Arthur and Avalon, Joseph of Arimathea after the resurrection of Jesus.
The heart chakra deals with love and healing. Interestingly, people have long believed that the combination of the two cities represents the union of love and will. However, some also believe that Hawaii’s Halesworth volcano is the heart chakra, and it has a good reason for that. The energy at the top of the volcano has the same frequency as the beating of the human heart.
The throat chakra – Egypt and Israel
The light blue throat chakra projects the truth. This is where we find the confidence to speak our truth. Also to express our creativity without fear of judgment, or needing approval. When the chakra is in balance, we value truth for truth’s sake alone. The throat chakra of the Earth is a combination of three important sites. The Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, Mount Sinai, also in Egypt, and Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Two of these locations, Mount Sinai and Mount of Olives, are important places in the Bible. Connecting the three locations on a map forms almost a perfect right triangle. The throat chakra symbolizes voice and communication.
Third eye chakra – Western Europe
The third eye chakra is dark blue in color and is located on the forehead, above the eyes. There is where we create our own reality through beliefs, and whatever we choose to see in the world. When it is out of balance, we feel overstimulated and clouded with thoughts that don’t feel like our own. In today’s world which is full of information, the third eye can come out of balance easily. Meditation and practicing stillness are the most helpful for bringing it into balance. The third eye chakra is the only one that can shift locations on the Earth, most probably due to the rotation of the Earth on its axis.
Known as the Aeon Activation Center, this chakra is believed to shift with each new eon or age and is also said to align with constellations. According to Astrology, we are currently in the Age of Aquarius, which determined that the third eye chakra lies in line with the heart chakra in England. When we move in the age of Capricorn, this chakra is believed to shift to Brazil. Astronomers have estimated that every astrological age lasts approximately 2100 to 2500 years. This chakra provides strong recognition and awareness, together with clear thinking and vision. It brings together rational knowledge and intuition.
The Crown chakra – Mount Kailash, Tibet
The seventh of the Earth chakras, which is purple in color sits above the head like a crown. It is our connection to higher guidance. It is where we feel connected to the cosmos, we are open to seeing signs, and finding meaning in the things around us. Most people aren’t connected to this chakra, yet it’s where we experience a sense of connection to the Universe. It really makes sense that the crown chakra of the Earth is located in the Himalayas. Mount Kailash often called the roof of the world, is considered the most sacred mountain in the Himalayas.
The power of the crown chakra lies in spirituality, and Mount Kailash serves as a powerful connector to something greater than oneself, both physically, because of its grandeur, and non-physically, because of its sacredness. The mountains are so holy, that the Tibetians the attempt to climb them consider it as an offense to the realm of spirituality. The highly developed consciousness of the Tibetians is a strong indication of the energy that resides in the crown chakra of the planet.
What is Earth Chakra day?
International Earth Chakra Day, observed annually on December 1st, is a recent initiative that aims to promote global awareness of cosmic consciousness. The event focuses on the concept of the Earth as a living entity with a Chakra system, emphasizing the interconnections of all life and the importance of nurturing this awareness worldwide.
The Earth chakras are like organs that are vital to the health of the world, and to all living beings. They maintain the overall global health, and transmit and receive energy encoded with information.
